Malaysian Authorized Foreign Manpower Outsourcing Companies' Association

TEKAM is an association formed by the outsourcing companies (SOS) licensed by KDN and has been registered with the Registrar of Societies having Registration No. PP 0676-09 WKL as an organization. The first conference was held on July 2, 2009 at Kelab Tasek, Putrajaya with the election of office bearers to undertake the responsibilities of TEKAM.

The formation of TEKAM was at the advice of the then Minister KDN, YB Dato Sri Azmi Khalid who introduced the licensing of private sector companies as SOS at a gathering with SOS at KDN as part of Government's strategy to streamline the recruitment and management of foreign workers.

With the formation of TEKAM it would naturally be convenient for the Government to liaise and getting feedback from the SOS on matters of policy and regulations introduced by the Government from time to time. It would be impossible when necessary for the Government to get feedback from each and everyone from the SOS.
